Downtown Palm Harbor Open House

Please Join Us to Learn More

Pinellas County is hosting a public information meeting to gain input and share information regarding two efforts that will define the character of downtown Palm Harbor as it continues to grow and reflect the expressed desires, concerns and sentiments of the community; a proposed roundabout at Florida Avenue and Alternate U.S. 19 and, Form-Based Code regulations.  We invite you to attend the meeting on Monday, November 4, 2019, at the Palm Harbor University High School cafeteria located at 1900 Omaha Ave. in Palm Harbor. The meeting will be an informal open house from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.  There will be no formal presentation. People attending the open house may review project displays, fill out comment forms, and speak one-on-one with project team members about proposed improvements to the Downtown Palm Harbor area. A project location map with the meeting location is shown below for your reference.

Need for Community Input

The 2018/2019 Downtown Palm Harbor Master Plan Update resulted in a series of recommendations for improvements in the Downtown area. One recommendation supported pursuing a roundabout at the intersection of Alternate U.S. 19 and Florida Avenue as the preferred crossing solution for pedestrians, cyclists and automobiles in order to more safely connect the core area of the downtown to the Pinellas Trail, Pop Stansell Park and Sutherland Bayou.
